It enjoys tricks and illusions, equally when they are done by itself and others so long as they are not at its own expense. Even then sometimes! It also enjoys jokes, particularly puns, and will, ah, bolt at any chance to make them. It also seems to be pretty lacking in tact unless something really serious is going on, in which case it does make an effort to respect others' emotions. Unfortunately, it's not very keen on picking up on others' feelings and can be a little offensive at times as a result. It also thinks grief is really, really pointless and obnoxious. Emmy has no respect for authority. In fact, just the opposite. Unless it agrees very strongly with an order, which isn't very often, it goes out of its way to disobey them, even putting others at risk in the process. If someone tries to use reverse psychology to manipulate it, it usually keeps trying to guess their intentions and go against those instead or else just do something entirely unpredictable. It's also a bit of a sore loser at times, preferring to run away if it can't successfully oppose somebody or starts to lose a fight. Despite this, it is highly competitive so long as it thinks it can win. Cheating is never out of the question. While it is a loose cannon, this doesn't mean it's incapable of forming bonds. While it prefers the kind of friends that it can walk out of at any time - even if it doesn't, the opportunity is still nice - it will occasionally form closer alliances with others. Granted, it's still very mistrusting of anybody else and probably won't share much with them, but past a certain point of friendship it at least won't sell you out to the highest bidder. In fact, it's not afraid to let itself get hurt for people it genuinely appreciates, although it's not about to die for anybody unless there really is no other option. Can a Ghost-type even die? It's honestly not haunted much by the question. The reason for Emmy's outlaw status lies less in malevolence and more in its devil-may-care attitude. It's just as likely to turn an outlaw in as it is to mug an explorer, although it rarely acts for its own purposes and would rather do missions or requests. That is, as long as they're not specifically meant for it. In fact, it loves to hijack missions, calling it a thrill and finding glee in the reactions of whoever it steals from. When there's no immediate action, it loves nothing more than to play devil's advocate. All in all, it just loves to cause chaos and stir up trouble as long as it's not at risk. When the whole unpredictability thing isn't actually succeeding in provoking people but Emmy's not losing anything, it's revealed that it actually is a bit of a softie. It doesn't put a lot of stock in material possessions and occasionally gives them out as its way of saying "hey, you're kinda cool", although it rarely gives things that are actually needed. Gifting doesn't necessarily mean that it actually likes you so much as it means it respects you. Most of the time, it's the closest it will get to an apology and a promise to be better around you next time, even if it still dislikes you.
